ab ye tavajjoh hai kyuuñ mere shab-o-roz par
apne shab-o-roz se aap ko fursat hai kyā
kaun dikhā.e mujhe shaam se kitnī hasīñ
kaun batā.e mujhe vaqt kī qīmat hai kyā
itne samāñ itne shahr ek lagan ek lahr
saat baras chup rahe aur shikāyat hai kyā
is bhare bāzār meñ ham to akele 'ḳhizāñ'
kyuuñ haiñ mire saath log ġham koī daulat hai kyā
