faqat itnā kahā thā nā hameñ tum se mohabbat hai
hamārī jaan loge kyā zarā sī baat ke pīchhe
tujhe ma.alūm hai gorī ki bārish kyoñ huī us din
koī ashkoñ se royā thā tirī bārāt ke pīchhe
shikast-e-fāsh dushman ne hameñ aise nahīñ dī hai
tumhārā haath lagtā hai hamārī maat ke pīchhe
