kuchh unki jafa un ka sitam yaad nahin hai
kuchh un kī jafā un kā sitam yaad nahīñ hai
ġhamgīn huuñ lekin koī ġham yaad nahīñ hai
dil-dāda-e-asnām hai fitrat mirī lekin
thā saath kabhī koī sanam yaad nahīñ hai
apnoñ kī ināyāt kā mamnūn huuñ aisā
ġhairoñ kā mujhe koī sitam yaad nahīñ hai
paayā hai nishāñ jab se tirī rāhguzar kā
kaisī hai rah-e-dair-o-haram yaad nahīñ hai
laayā hai kahāñ ye ġham-e-ayyām 'farīd' ab
baḳhshā thā kabhī us ne bhī ġham yaad nahīñ hai

apnon ki inayat ka mamnun hun aisa
ghairon ka mujhe koi sitam yaad nahin hai
paya hai nishan jab se teri rahguzar ka
kaisi hai rah-e-dair-o-haram yaad nahin hai
laya hai kahan ye gham-e-ayyam 'farid' ab
baKHsha tha kabhi us ne bhi gham yaad nahin hai
