kū-ba-kū fitrat-e-āhū liye phirtī hai mujhe
muztarib apnī hī ḳhushbū liye phirtī hai mujhe
vahshat-e-dil kā sabab ḳhud mirā apnā-pan hai
mere andar se uThī hū liye phirtī hai mujhe
chāñd-rātoñ meñ kahīñ aks koī dekhā thā
ek vahshat sī lab-e-jū liye phirtī hai mujhe
mausam-e-gul se ta.āruf kā natīja ma.alūm
shabnam ab sūrat-e-āñsū liye phirtī hai mujhe
juzv huuñ kul meñ samā.ūñ to qarār aa jaa.e
ek tafrīq-e-man-o-tū liye phirtī hai mujhe
ku-ba-ku fitrat-e-ahu liye phirti hai mujhe
muztarib apni hi KHushbu liye phirti hai mujhe
wahshat-e-dil ka sabab KHud mera apna-pan hai

chand-raaton mein kahin aks koi dekha tha
ek wahshat si lab-e-ju liye phirti hai mujhe
mausam-e-gul se taaruf ka natija malum
shabnam ab surat-e-ansu liye phirti hai mujhe
juzw hun kul mein samaun to qarar aa jae
ek tafriq-e-man-o-tu liye phirti hai mujhe
