kyuuñ yūrish-e-tarab meñ bhī ġham yaad aa ga.e
sochā tire karam ko sitam yaad aa ga.e
ai dost mai-kade meñ ye kaisī havā chalī
sab fitna-hā-e-dair-o-haram yaad aa ga.e
raushan abhī huā thā sar-e-jāda-hayāt
ik kākul-e-siyāh ke ḳham yaad aa ga.e
ab kyā dikhā rahā hai rah-e-māh-o-kahkashāñ
nāseh kisī ke naqsh-e-qadam yaad aa ga.e
ek ek kar ke TuuT chuke haiñ ḳhirad ke but
but-ḳhāna-e-junūñ ke sanam yaad aa ga.e
kyun yurish-e-tarab mein bhi gham yaad aa gae
socha tere karam ko sitam yaad aa gae
ai dost mai-kade mein ye kaisi hawa chali
sab fitna-ha-e-dair-o-haram yaad aa gae
raushan abhi hua tha sar-e-jada-hayat
ek kakul-e-siyah ke KHam yaad aa gae
ab kya dikha raha hai rah-e-mah-o-kahkashan
naseh kisi ke naqsh-e-qadam yaad aa gae
