kyā irāda dekhiye qātil meñ hai
misl-e-mūsā dekh kar ġhash khāoge
vo tajallī mere koh-e-dil meñ hai
merī chashm-e-tar pe mat jaao abhī
aag aisī ashk kī jhilmil meñ hai
pūchhiye mat us ke baare meñ savāl
jo mirā hāsil na kuchh shāmil meñ hai
kar sake mahsūs jo dard-e-'shafīq'
kaun aisā ham-navā mahfil meñ hai

wo tajalli mere koh-e-dil mein hai

jo mera hasil na kuchh shamil mein hai
kar sake mahsus jo dard-e-'shafiq'
kaun aisa ham-nawa mahfil mein hai
