lafz se jab na uThā bār-e-ḳhayāl
kaise kaise kiyā iz.hār-e-ḳhayāl
dil meñ jab dard kī qindīl jalī
tamtamāne lage ruḳhsār-e-ḳhayāl
ruuh ke zaḳhm na murjhā.eñ kabhī
tā-abad mahke chaman-zār-e-ḳhayāl
ġham pe mauqūf hai tāsīr-e-bayāñ
ġham se hai raunaq-e-bāzār-e-ḳhayāl
rākib-e-fahm hai be-bas 'tā.ib'
aur muñh-zor hai rahvār-e-ḳhayāl
lafz se jab na uTha bar-e-KHayal
kaise kaise kiya izhaar-e-KHayal
dil mein jab dard ki qindil jali
tamtamane lage ruKHsar-e-KHayal
ruh ke zaKHm na murjhaen kabhi
ta-abad mahke chaman-zar-e-KHayal
gham pe mauquf hai tasir-e-bayan
gham se hai raunaq-e-bazar-e-KHayal
rakib-e-fahm hai be-bas 'taib'
aur munh-zor hai rahwar-e-KHayal
