mahfūz nahīñ zauq-e-havas dast-e-fanā se
qudrat ne navāzā hai mohabbat ko baqā se
har harf-e-muqaddas hai haqīqat kā muhāfiz
mansūr hai ma.atūb anal-haq kī sadā se
resham kī tarah narm hai be-shak tirā lahja
ā.īna-e-dil TuuT gayā zarb-e-anā se
duzdīda-nigāhī ne dikhāyā ye karishma
achchhā huā bīmār davā se na duā se
tā-umr satā.egī tujhe merī rifāqat
hai puḳhta mirā rang-e-lahū rañg-e-hinā se
jab itr-fashāñ sair-e-gulistāñ ko vo aa.e
'sāhil' mujhe bhejā gayā paiġhām sabā se
mahfuz nahin zauq-e-hawas dast-e-fana se
qudrat ne nawaza hai mohabbat ko baqa se
har harf-e-muqaddas hai haqiqat ka muhafiz
mansur hai matub anal-haq ki sada se
resham ki tarah narm hai be-shak tera lahja
aaina-e-dil TuT gaya zarb-e-ana se
duzdida-nigahi ne dikhaya ye karishma
achchha hua bimar dawa se na dua se
ta-umr sataegi tujhe meri rifaqat
hai puKHta mera rang-e-lahu rang-e-hina se
jab itr-fashan sair-e-gulistan ko wo aae
'sahil' mujhe bheja gaya paigham saba se
