میں نئے عزم سفر سے نکلا
سر پہ سورج لئے گھر سے نکلا
سنگ دل شخص کے آنسو دیکھے
موم پتھر کے جگر سے نکلا
اس حویلی سے کہ اس گنبد سے
دیکھنا چاند کدھر سے نکلا
ایک تو خود ہی خبر تھی جاں سوز
پھر وہ مطلب جو خبر سے نکلا
آمنے سامنے تھے دیر و حرم
میں بہت بچ کے ادھر سے نکلا
دشمن و دوست کو پہچان لیا
بوند بھر خون تو سر سے نکلا
