ḳhudā jaane vo kaisā bāvlā hai
haram meñ mai pyāle DhūñDhtā hai
musāfir do-qadam chal kar pareshān
ki apne pā ke chhāle DhūñDhtā hai
samundar meñ talāsheñ to bahut haiñ
ḳhazāne vo nirāle DhūñDhtā hai
rahe tā-būd qaa.em rāzdārī
ḳhudā kuchh aise taale DhūñDhtā hai
mohabbat ke hawale DhunDhta hai
andheron mein ujale DhunDhta hai
