मोहब्बतों में वफ़ा का हिसाब क्या रखना
किसी किताब में सूखे गुलाब क्या रखना
वो कम-सुख़न तो नहीं हैं मगर ये सोचा है
कि उन से जारी सवाल-ओ-जवाब क्या रखना
वो मेरे हाल से अच्छी तरह से वाक़िफ़ हैं
फिर उन के सामने दिल की किताब क्या रखना
नहीं है दाग़ कोई गर हमारे दामन पर
तो फिर ये फ़िक्र-ए-‘अज़ाब-ओ-सवाब क्या रखना
पलट के बीते हुए दिन कभी नहीं आते
गया शबाब तो याद-ए-शबाब क्या रखना
हिजाब ग़ैर से रखना समझ में आता है
नहीं वो ग़ैर तो उन से हिजाब क्या रखना
हमारे दिल में तो दरिया बसा है जेहलम का
नज़र में अपनी समंदर के बाब क्या रखना
