haath ḳhālī hai to bāzār meñ aate kyoñ ho
ab bhī chāho to jamī barf pighal saktī hai
iḳhtilāfāt ko buniyād banāte kyoñ ho
vo samajhne pe hī āmāda nahīñ hai to use
apne ehsās kā ā.īna dikhāte kyoñ ho
kal taras jāoge āñkhoñ kī shanāsā.ī ko
ḳhud ko lafzoñ ke libāde meñ chhupāte kyoñ ho
āfiyat ab to isī meñ hai ki patthar ban jaao
sog TuuTe hue rishtoñ kā manāte kyoñ ho
vo gul-e-tāza kisī ghar kī hai zīnat 'armān'
us kī ḳhushbū se ḳhayāloñ ko basāte kyoñ ho
