naqīb-e-sub.h to the ham rahīn-e-shām-e-ġham nikle
baḌe jhūTe tire va.ade tire qaul-o-qasam nikle
unheñ dair-o-haram vaale bhī kitnā pyaar karte haiñ
tirī mahfil se jitne bāġhi-e-dair-o-haram nikle
jo dekhā to zamīñ bhī duur thī pā-e-tajassus se
jo samjhā to sitāre bhī mire zer-e-qadam nikle
