پہلے خود کو جلائے گا سورج
پھر کہیں جگمگائے گا سورج
لمحہ لمحہ کرے گا ایک جگہ
اور صدیاں بنائے گا سورج
میرے آنسو نہ پی سکا اب تک
یوں تو دریا سکھائے گا سورج
بہتے پانی میں جھانک لینے دو
خود بخود ڈگمگائے سورج
زلف لہرا کے مت چلو دن میں
راستہ بھول جائے گا سورج
چل کے ندرت نوازؔ کے گھر تک
جانے کس روز آئے گا سورج
