کہ سرحد پار جانی چاہیے تھی
غرور اس بات کا ہم پال بیٹھے
کہ جس پر شرم آنی چاہیے تھی
چکا سکتے نہیں قیمت الگ بات
مگر بولی لگانی چاہیے تھی
اسی دن کیسے زندہ ہو گئے ہم
کہ جس دن موت آنی چاہیے تھی
ہمیں کھانا نہ کھانا چاہیے تھا
کہ تم سے ڈانٹ کھانی چاہیے تھی
