jis meñ terā qurb milā thā
manzil kī parvā thī kis ko
rasta tere saath kaTā thā
us kī āñkheñ yaad thiiñ mujh ko
naam magar maiñ bhuul gayā thā
tere laboñ kī baat chalī thī
maiñ ne phuul ko chuum liyā thā
terī yaad kā in āñkhoñ meñ
ik chashma sā phuuT rahā thā
aañsū ban kar girtā 'arshad'
tū ne us ko thaam liyā thā
phir us pal ko khoj raha hun
jis mein tera qurb mila tha

us ki aankhen yaad thin mujh ko
nam magar main bhul gaya tha
tere labon ki baat chali thi
main ne phul ko chum liya tha
teri yaad ka in aankhon mein
