پورس بنا مجھے نہ سکندر بنا مجھے
انسانیت کی راہ کا رہبر بنا مجھے
قطرہ سہی مگر مری پہچان بھی تو ہو
یہ کب کہا کہ میں نے سمندر بنا مجھے
دیکھے وہ آئنہ تو نظر آؤں میں اسے
اس کی نگاہ ناز کا منظر بنا مجھے
میرے بغیر گھر کی کوئی حیثیت نہ ہو
دیوار و در کا لازمی پتھر بنا مجھے
غالبؔ کی طرح ذہنوں میں محفوظ میں رہوں
عہد رواں کا اپنے سخنور بنا مجھے
