qabila ishq ka mere KHilaf ho raha tha
qabīla ishq kā mere ḳhilāf ho rahā thā
rivāyatoñ se baḌā inhirāf ho rahā thā
phir ek hijr kā ehrām lā thamāyā gayā
dayār-e-vasl kā pahlā tavāf ho rahā thā
qabā-e-zard ne pairoñ ko Dhāñp rakkhā thā
barahna shāḳh pe mausam ġhilāf ho rahā thā
ye dastakeñ mirī buniyād tak hilā rahī thiiñ
ki jism-o-jān meñ jaise shigāf ho rahā thā
ka.ī balāoñ ne ghere meñ le liyā thā mujhe
kisī kī yaad kā jab etakāf ho rahā thā
ye vaqt ruk gayā 'tāhir' mire darīche par
savere hone kā yuuñ e'tirāf ho rahā thā

sawere hone ka yun e'tiraf ho raha tha
