har taraf sayyād hai is ḳhauf se
kyā parinda āb-o-dāna chhoḌ de
dhuup ko himmat se de apnī javāb
justujū-e-shāmiyāna chhoḌ de
ab to apnī yaad ko samjhā.iye
mere dil meñ ānā-jānā chhoḌ de
yā to kar puurī tarah mujh ko qubūl
yā mujhe pāgal banānā chhoḌ de
dost 'sonam' itnī bhī ahmaq nahīñ
saañp ke Dar se ḳhazānā chhoḌ de
