رواج قتل انسانی بہت ہے
رواج قتل انسانی بہت ہے
یہاں مرنے کی آسانی بہت ہے
کہیں برسات کے موسم میں سوکھا
کہیں دریا میں طغیانی بہت ہے
خوشی کا قحط ہے بستی میں دل کی
مگر غم کی فراوانی بہت ہے
لباس مصلحت تم کو مبارک
ہمیں تو چاک دامانی بہت ہے
سمجھتی ہے اندھیروں کو اجالا
ہماری عقل دیوانی بہت ہے
سراپا حسن سیرت ہے معظمؔ
مگر فطرت میں نادانی بہت ہے
