utar rahī haiñ ajab ḳhushbueñ rag-o-pai meñ
ye kis ko chhū ke mire shahr meñ sabā aa.ī
use pukārā to hoñToñ pe koī naam na thā
mohabbatoñ ke safar meñ ajab fazā aa.ī
kahīñ rahe vo magar ḳhairiyat ke saath rahe
uThā.e haath to yaad ek hī duā aa.ī
