سناٹے کی ایک کہانی ہوتی ہے
بھولی بصری یاد سہانی ہوتی ہے
کچھ باتیں ایسی ہی جو بے معنی ہیں
کچھ قصوں میں اب بھی نانی ہوتی ہے
دیواروں پر ٹنگے کلنڈر خستہ ہیں
تاریخوں میں ایک نشانی ہوتی ہے
رشتوں کے تانے بانے سے مطلب کیا
بے مطلب ہی کچھ نادانی ہوتی ہے
موسم دریا جنگل صحرا گاؤں شکیلؔ
سب کی صفت جانی پہچانی ہوتی ہے
