sapan kitnā salonā chāhtī thī
tirī mahbūb honā chāhtī thī
ye mohlat hī nahīñ dī zindagī ne
maiñ tere saath ronā chāhtī thī
tirī sāñsoñ kī ḳhushbū se bhare hoñ
maiñ aise phuul bonā chāhtī thī
tirī āġhosh meñ aa kar ye jaanā
ki maiñ sadiyoñ se sonā chāhtī thī
ye mere āñsuoñ kī intishārī
tire ġham kā bichhaunā chāhtī thī
mayassar hī na ho paayā mujhe tū
meñ ḳhud ko tujh meñ khonā chāhtī thī
sapan kitna salona chahti thi
teri mahbub hona chahti thi
ye mohlat hi nahin di zindagi ne
main tere sath rona chahti thi
teri sanson ki KHushbu se bhare hon
main aise phul bona chahti thi
teri aaghosh mein aa kar ye jaana
ki main sadiyon se sona chahti thi
ye mere aansuon ki intishaari
tere gham ka bichhauna chahti thi
mayassar hi na ho paya mujhe tu
mein KHud ko tujh mein khona chahti thi
