tere KHayal ko bhi fursat-e-KHayal nahin
tire ḳhayāl ko bhī fursat-e-ḳhayāl nahīñ
judā.ī hijr nahīñ hai milan visāl nahīñ
mire vajūd meñ aisā samā gayā koī
ġham-e-zamāna nahīñ fikr-e-māh-o-sāl nahīñ
use yaqīn ke sūraj se hī ubharnā hai
vo sail-e-vahm meñ bahtā huā jamāl nahīñ
dahak uThe mire aariz mahak uThīñ sāñseñ
phir aur kyā hai agar ye tirā ḳhayāl nahīñ
na-jāne kitne jahāñ muntazir haiñ tere liye
tire uruuj kī pahle kahīñ misāl nahīñ
tere KHayal ko bhi fursat-e-KHayal nahin
judai hijr nahin hai milan visal nahin
mere wajud mein aisa sama gaya koi
gham-e-zamana nahin fikr-e-mah-o-sal nahin
use yaqin ke suraj se hi ubharna hai
wo sail-e-wahm mein bahta hua jamal nahin
dahak uThe mere aariz mahak uThin sansen
phir aur kya hai agar ye tera KHayal nahin
na-jaane kitne jahan muntazir hain tere liye
tere uruj ki pahle kahin misal nahin
