دوست کرنے لگے رقیب سی بات
نیند آئے تو مخملی احساس
ورنہ بستر میں ہے صلیب سی بات
فلسفہ زندگی کا مت پوچھو
میں کہوں گا بڑی عجیب سی بات
تم یہاں دوست سے مخاطب ہو
مت کرو شاعر و ادیب سی بات
پوچھ مت ان کے سامنے بادلؔ
میرے دل میں ہے کیا عجیب سی بات
