uTThe haath duāoñ vaale bhar de maulā
mere shahr kā mausam achchhā kar de maulā
dhyān-sarā meñ jaane kab se bahak rahī haiñ
in chiḌiyoñ ko apne bāl-o-par de maulā
ḳhvāb-nagar se apnī fasleñ kāTeñ ye bhī
ahl-e-chaman ko achchhī koī ḳhabar de maulā
in galiyoñ meñ māyūsī lahreñ letī hai
in galiyoñ ko ab to na.ī sahar de maulā
thakā huā jab koī musāfir lauT ke aa.e
jaisā chhoḌ gayā thā vaisā ghar de maulā

in galiyon mein mayusi lahren leti hai
in galiyon ko ab to nai sahar de maula
thaka hua jab koi musafir lauT ke aae
jaisa chhoD gaya tha waisa ghar de maula
