dam-ba-ḳhud kyuuñ hai ḳhizāñ kī saltanat
koī jhoñkā koī mauj-e-ġham chale
chaar sū bājeñ paloñ kī pā.eleñ
is tarah raqqāsa-e-ālam chale
der kyā hai aane vaale mausamo
din guzarte jā rahe haiñ ham chale
kis ko fikr-e-gumbad-e-qasr-e-habāb
aabjū paiham chale paiham chale
waqt se kahiyo zara kam kam chale

chaar su bajen palon ki paelen

kis ko fikr-e-gumbad-e-qasr-e-habab
