وہ جھوٹ کہہ کے صاحب کردار ہو گیا
میں نے جو سچ کہا تو گنہ گار ہو گیا
تھا شاخ پر گلاب بڑی شان سے مگر
جوڑے میں تیرے اور طرحدار ہو گیا
آنکھیں بچھائے بیٹھا تھا میں جس کے واسطے
وہ شخص میری راہ کی دیوار ہو گیا
اس پر کسی بھی بات کا ہوتا نہیں اثر
دیوانہ اس لحاظ سے ہشیار ہو گیا
گم صم دکھائی دیتے ہو تم آج کل شکیلؔ
سچ کہنا کیا کسی سے تمہیں پیار ہو گیا
