vo ḳhālī haath safar-e-āb par ravāna huā
ḳhabar na thī ki samundar tahī-ḳhazāna huā
bichhaḌte vaqt thā dil meñ ġhubār us se magar
suḳhan hī talḳh na lahja shikāyatāna huā
havā bhī tez na thī mo.atadil thā mausam bhī
zamīn paañv ke nīche thī ik zamāna huā
