yād-e-gesū-o-qad-e-yār liye phirte haiñ
ham kahīñ hoñ rasan-e-dār liye phirte haiñ
ham haiñ vo chāk-garebāñ jo zamāne ke liye
shauq-e-pairāhan-e-zar-tār liye phirte haiñ
muddateñ ho ga.iiñ us dāman-e-rañgīñ se chhuTe
aaj tak dīda-e-ḳhūñ-bār liye phirte haiñ
sharm ai zom-e-masīhā.ī ki ab bhī lākhoñ
jism-e-bīmār-o-dil-e-zār liye phirte haiñ
yaad-e-gesu-o-qad-e-yar liye phirte hain
hum kahin hon rasan-e-dar liye phirte hain
hum hain wo chaak-gareban jo zamane ke liye
shauq-e-pairahan-e-zar-tar liye phirte hain
muddaten ho gain us daman-e-rangin se chhuTe
aaj tak dida-e-KHun-bar liye phirte hain
sharm ai zom-e-masihai ki ab bhi lakhon
jism-e-bimar-o-dil-e-zar liye phirte hain
