āñsuoñ ke sote jab ḳhushk ho ga.e hoñge
aañkh meñ mujhe bhar ke dekhtā to hogā vo
kho ga.ī jo rātoñ meñ us udaas sūrat ko
sub.h ke ujāle meñ DhūñDhtā to hogā vo
naqsh-e-nā-mukammal se but tarāshtā hogā
toḌ kar use phir se joḌtā to hogā vo
ishq kī amānat ko dard kī diyānat ko
aql ke tarāzū meñ toltā to hogā vo
yaad ke darichon mein jhankta to hoga wo
raat bhar mere gham mein jagta to hoga wo
aansuon ke sote jab KHushk ho gae honge
aankh mein mujhe bhar ke dekhta to hoga wo
kho gai jo raaton mein us udas surat ko
subh ke ujale mein DhunDhta to hoga wo
naqsh-e-na-mukammal se but tarashta hoga
toD kar use phir se joDta to hoga wo
ishq ki amanat ko dard ki diyanat ko
aql ke taraazu mein tolta to hoga wo
