ye bahaar-o-KHizan ke afsane
ye bahār-o-ḳhizāñ ke afsāne
log bhī kis qadar haiñ dīvāne
kaun sī manzil-e-hayāt hai ye
dil fasurda ḳhamosh maiḳhāne
aap to sochte rahe lekin
jal mujhe muskurā ke parvāne
haiñ yahī vaqt kī matā-e-azīz
chand āzurda qalb dīvāne
