زمانے کے دربار میں دست بستہ ہوا ہے
زمانے کے دربار میں دست بستہ ہوا ہے
یہ دل اس پہ مائل مگر رفتہ رفتہ ہوا ہے
اچانک ہی ہتھیار والے نہیں سخت جاں نے
جگر وقت کے ساتھ خستہ شکستہ ہوا ہے
کہیں اندر اندر سلگتی تھی چنگاری کوئی
مگر حادثہ آخر کار شام گزشتہ ہوا ہے
کئی بار جلاد نے کھینچ دیکھا ہے اس کو
مگر منجمد دار کا سرد تختہ ہوا ہے
خبردار رہنے لگا شہریار اس سے یاسرؔ
قلم میرے ہاتھوں میں خنجر کا دستہ ہوا ہے
