sochtā huuñ tire zamāne meñ

mausam-e-gul kī tañg-dāmānī
phuul māñge the ḳhaar paa.e haiñ
terī mahfil meñ raushnī ke liye
āñsuoñ ke diye jalā.e haiñ
zer-e-lab aap gungunae hain
dil mein lakhon KHayal aae hain
sochta hun tere zamane mein
kya kabhi hum bhi muskurae hain
mausam-e-gul ki tang-damani
phul mange the KHar pae hain
teri mahfil mein raushni ke liye
aansuon ke diye jalae hain
