داڑھی اور شاہنامہ اسلام
حفیظ جالندھری پہلی بار حج کرنے کے بعد واپس آئے تو ان کے چہرے پر ریش دراز کا اضافہ ہوچکا تھا۔ کسی مشاعرہ میں ان کا یہ حلیہ دیکھ کر سوہن لال کپور تھلوی نے داڑھی کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہوئے پوچھا،
’’کیوں خان صاحب! یہ شاہنامۂ اسلام کا تازہ ایڈیشن ہے؟‘‘
