asir-e-zat-e-raushni
na lazzatoñ kā bahr thā na ḳhvāhishoñ kī vādiyāñ
na dā.ere azaab ke na zāviye savāb ke
bas ek raushnī asīr-e-zāt thī
muhīt kā.enāt thī azal se be-libās thī
to yuuñ huā ki daf.atan
mire badan ke pairahan meñ chhup ga.ī
to lazzatoñ kā bahr mauj-zan huā
to ḳhvāhishoñ kī vādiyāñ sulag ga.iiñ
to dā.ere azaab ke phisal ga.e
to zāviye savāb ke machal ga.e
ajiib vāqi.a nahīñ
mire badan kā pairahan to lazzatoñ ke taar meñ bunā gayā
vo ḳhvāhishoñ ke bahr meñ jo mauj mauj bah gayā
to kyā huā
ye raaz raaz rah gayā
vo raushnī jo qabl-e-irtikāb hī
mire badan ke pairahan meñ jāguzīñ thī
sad-irtikāb kyuuñ huī nahīñ
na lazzaton ka bahr tha na KHwahishon ki wadiyan
na daere azab ke na zawiye sawab ke
bas ek raushni asir-e-zat thi
muhit kaenat thi azal se be-libas thi
to yun hua ki dafatan
mere badan ke pairahan mein chhup gai
to lazzaton ka bahr mauj-zan hua
to KHwahishon ki wadiyan sulag gain
to daere azab ke phisal gae
to zawiye sawab ke machal gae
ajib waqia nahin
mere badan ka pairahan to lazzaton ke tar mein buna gaya
wo KHwahishon ke bahr mein jo mauj mauj bah gaya
to kya hua
ye raaz raaz rah gaya
wo raushni jo qabl-e-irtikab hi
mere badan ke pairahan mein jaguzin thi
sad-irtikab kyun hui nahin
