bekasi-e-ishq
ek din us ne jo mujh se pūchhā
kyoñ mire milne kā armān huā
us ko dekhā to magar aahoñ kā
maujzan siine meñ tūfān huā
huī chehre se numāyāñ vahshat
donoñ hāthoñ se liyā dil ko thaam
yaas armān tamannā hasrat
dil se āñkhoñ meñ utar aa.e tamām
kuchh javāb us ko jo denā chāhā
lab mile par na sadā niklī aah
ek mahshar thā ḳhayāloñ kā bapā
vo lagī chup ki ayāzan-billāh
ek din us ne jo mujh se puchha
kyon mere milne ka arman hua
us ko dekha to magar aahon ka
maujzan sine mein tufan hua
hui chehre se numayan wahshat
donon hathon se liya dil ko tham
yas arman tamanna hasrat
dil se aankhon mein utar aae tamam
kuchh jawab us ko jo dena chaha
lab mile par na sada nikli aah
ek mahshar tha KHayalon ka bapa
wo lagi chup ki ayazan-billah
