ek chhichhlī jhiil meñ utrā huā

chāñd hai is soch meñ Duubā huā

ye jo kuchh thoḌā sā paanī hai yahāñ

ḳhushk ye bhī ho gayā gar nā-gahāñ

Thos dhartī par na phir maiñ ā.ūñgā

TuuT kar varna fanā ho jā.ūñgā

ek chhichhli jhil mein utra hua

chand hai is soch mein Duba hua

ye jo kuchh thoDa sa pani hai yahan

KHushk ye bhi ho gaya gar na-gahan

Thos dharti par na phir main aaunga

TuT kar warna fana ho jaunga
