chhoTī ne totā paalā thā
baḌī bahan ne billī
billī ko ghī kam bhātā thā
aur tote ko tillī
dillī meñ hai sab kahte haiñ
donoñ kī sasurāl
aao bachcho chal kar dekheñ
ham un ke ahvāl
tum samjhe the donoñ bahneñ
phūñktī hoñgī chūlhā
lekin vo to appū-ghar meñ
jhuul rahī haiñ jhūlā
naach rahī hai kaalī billī
us ke sar par totā
soch rahī hai saarī dillī
ekā sab meñ hotā

soch rahi hai sari dilli
eka sab mein hota
