maiñ rasm-e-ta.āruf kā qaa.il nahīñ huuñ
mujhe sirf itnā hī kaafī hai yaaro
amāvas kī shab meñ
mire haq meñ vo chāñd se bhī sivā thī
mirī ham-safar thī
main rasm-e-taaruf ka qail nahin hun
mujhe sirf itna hi kafi hai yaro
amawas ki shab mein
mere haq mein wo chand se bhi siwa thi
meri ham-safar thi
