میں ایک شاعر ہوں
جب وہ تنہا ہوتے ہیں
اک پل نیند نہیں آتی جب
سناٹے جب ڈستے ہیں تو
میری رچناؤں کو پڑھ کر
اپنا دل بہلاتے ہیں
من جب بیکل ہوتا ہے
یا دل جب بوجھل ہوتا ہے
گیت مرے گا لیتے ہیں
لیکن جب مجھ سے ملتے ہیں
وہ مجھ کو پاگل کہتے ہیں
کیوں کہ میں اک شاعر ہوں
