عمر بھر اونگھتی راہوں پہ رہے گرم سفر
رقص کرتے رہے جذبات میں سوزش کے شرر
آج بھی زندگی اور موت کے دوراہے پر
دوست آ بیٹھ کے سستا لیں گھڑی بھر کے لیے
شام کے رینگتے سایوں کی گھنی چھاؤں میں
یہ تو اپنے ہیں کسی غیر کی میراث نہیں
