ye jaah aur iqbāl tum ko mubārak
ye rāhat-fazā saal tum ko mubārak
hameñ to hai pichhle hī barsoñ kā ronā
na.e ho nayā saal tum ko mubārak
agar kuchh bulandī pe iqbāl hotā
mirā haal rāhat-fazā haal hotā
agar tum bhī qismat se pahlū meñ hote
nayā saal merā nayā saal hotā
ye jah aur iqbaal tum ko mubarak

hamein to hai pichhle hi barson ka rona
nae ho naya sal tum ko mubarak
agar kuchh bulandi pe iqbaal hota
mera haal rahat-faza haal hota
