maiñ ne dekhe tiis saal
pai-ba-pai faaqe musalsal zillateñ

sāmrājī beḌiyoñ ko vus.ateñ dene kā farz
so rahā huuñ us gaḌhe kī god meñ
āftāb-e-misr ke saa.e tale
maiñ kañvārā hī rahā
kaash merā baap bhī
