وہی ہم تھے کہ اس شہر سکوں میں
رت جگوں کی دھوم تھی ہم سے
وہی ہم ہیں کہ شہر بے اماں کی بھیڑ میں
خود اپنی تنہائی پہ حیراں ہیں
ہمارا جبر مجبوری
ہمیں جب صبر آمادہ بناتا ہے
تو آنکھیں اس قدر شعلے اگلتی ہیں
کہ خاموشی بھی اک
شور فغاں معلوم ہوتی ہے
