ḳhizāñ ke patte gul-o-yāsman kī vaadī meñ
uḌā ke laa.e haiñ bād-e-shimāl ke tūfāñ
ye zard patte haiñ yarqāñ-zada daraḳhtoñ ke
ye zard patte haiñ madqūq zindagī ke nishāñ
ḳhizāñ kā saaya na paḌ jaa.e is gulistāñ par
uThāo parcham-e-gul ai chaman ke matvālo
havā ke ruḳh ko badal do bahār kī maujo
uḌā do samt-e-muḳhālif meñ zard pattoñ ko
KHizan ke patte gul-o-yasman ki wadi mein
uDa ke lae hain baad-e-shimal ke tufan
ye zard patte hain yarqan-zada daraKHton ke
ye zard patte hain madquq zindagi ke nishan
KHizan ka saya na paD jae is gulistan par
uThao parcham-e-gul ai chaman ke matwalo
hawa ke ruKH ko badal do bahaar ki maujo
uDa do samt-e-muKHalif mein zard patton ko
