jo neki kar ke phir dariya mein isko Dal jata hai

mujhe tanhai ke gham se bacha lete to achchha tha

tasawwur mein bhi jis ki justuju karta hai dil mera

ehsas-e-ishq dil ki panahon mein aa gaya

jo wafa ka riwaj rakhte hain

bahut kuchh mehnaton se ek zara izzat kamai hai

mere din ki tarah raushan meri har raat hoti hai

leta hun us ka nam bhi aah-o-buka ke sath

muqaddar ne kahan koi naya paigham likkha hai

karb-e-furqat ruh se jata nahin

fasurda-dil hai nazron ki pareshani nahin jati
