TuTi hui qabron mein kahin the ki nahin the

mere alfaz ko guftar ko kha jaegi

hamare honTon pe ek muddat se jis ka nauha machal raha hai

KHair se dil ne kisi taur bahal jaana hai

mujhe wafa-dariyon ki aadat kabhi nahin thi

ek mehrban ka sab se baDa Dar bhi main hi tha

is aalam-e-pur-dard mein dukh sab ka KHuda hai

wo marka jo hai nahin sar ho nahin raha

bechaare sahra ko ek niwala nahin bacha hai

main jise dasht samajhta raha ghar nikla hai

dil ye jis aarzu se Darta hai

subh kaise hui ghazalon ki

kisi badan ki tamanna mein gham nikal aae

ye kaun is darja aatishin rakh-rakhaw mein hai

sabhi KHudaon se teri aman chahti hai

hasin hai to rahe subh teri par nahin kar

aankh dariya mila rawani ko

baDi gudaz pashemaniyon pe zinda rahe

ek taqaza pas-e-diwar kiya jaega

is aalam-e-pur-dard mein dukh sab ka KHuda hai

faKHtaon ke bikhere hue par le jao

tazad-e-zat mein chhupte hue chhupate hue

koi saya pas-e-diwar Thahar jaega

maine kab rakhna tha us but ko KHuda se pahle

muntazir hun main apne aazar ka

ye kaun is darja aatishin rakh-rakhaw mein hai

karb se bharne ko jab aai meri raat ki aankh
