aisa aalam ka KHugar nahin dekha humne

pahle wo parindon ko ham-zaban banata hai

dil ki gali mein ab tak hain pech-o-tab kya kya

tanhai mein karta hai fasadat ki baaten

sad bahaaron se lala-zar hai dil

sanche mein musawat ke Dhal kyon nahin jate

aai hai is jahan mein kahan se bala-e-dil

waqf kar di zindagi sab ne zamane ke liye

aql-o-danish ko yaqinan mat honi chahiye

tamam umr kisi pesh-o-pas mein rahna paDa

ghaalib ke kabhi mir ke diwan se chehre

bichhaD ke us se agarche mujhe qarar nahin
