Renowned Urdu poet Asad badayuni was born in Budaun Uttar Pradesh in 1952. He was a lecturer in the department of urdu at Aligarh Muslim University. He authored several books and was honoured with numerous literary awards. Three of his poetic collection 'Dhoop ki sarhad', 'Khema-e-khaab', and 'Junoon-e-kinara' have been published. He died in Aligarh in 2003 and buried in Badaun.
